Naogaon: Around 500 men and women from the Hindu community in Badalgachhi upazila of the district have formally joined the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP). The joining ceremony was held at Paharpur Adivasi High School ground on Saturday afternoon, organized by Paharpur Union BNP and its affiliated organizations in the upazila.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Paharpur union BNP president Zillur Rahman presided over the event, while general secretary Sarwar Hossain moderated it. The ceremony was attended by notable figures, including Joint General Secretary of the Central Krishak Dal and BNP nominated candidate for Badalgachi upazila BNP president Fazle Huda Babul, who was present as the chief guest.
Other prominent attendees included Upazila BNP general secretary Abdul Hadi Chowdhury Tipu, Upazila BNP senior vice president Zakir Hossain Chowdhury, vice president Abdul Aziz Mondal, joint secretary Saidur Rahman Ketu, and organizing secretary Mamun Hasan, among others.
