Founder of Group Q, Quazi Zainul Abedin, Passes Away at 93

Dhaka: Eminent businessman and Founder Chairman of Group Q, Quazi AFM Zainul Abedin, passed away due to old-age complications while receiving treatment at Evercare Hospital in the city. He was 93 years old, leaving behind his wife, two sons, as well as numerous relatives, friends, and well-wishers who mourn his demise.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Quazi Zainul Abedin was not only a notable industrial entrepreneur but also a patron of education and a humanitarian. He established several educational institutions in Dhaka and Manikganj, including the Kaniz Fatema Girls School and College in Manikganj, which has played a significant role in promoting women's education in the district.

The first namaz-e-janaza for Quazi Zainul Abedin will be held at Gulshan Azad Mosque around 7.20 pm today. The second namaz-e-janaza is scheduled to take place at Kaniz Fatema Girls School and College in Manikganj after the Zohr prayer tomorrow. He will be laid to rest in the graveyard near the girls' school.
