Chongqing: Bangladesh U-17 national football team take on host China in their fifth and ultimate group match of the 2026 AFC U-17 Asian Cup qualifiers scheduled to be held at Tongliang Long Stadium, Chongqing, China today. The match kicks off at 5.35 pm Bangladesh time.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, both Bangladesh and China have secured 12 points each from their four previous matches. A victory for Bangladesh in today's encounter would ensure their qualification for the AFC U-17 Asian Cup.
Earlier in the tournament, Bangladesh made an impressive start by defeating Timor-Leste with a score of 5-0 in their opening group A match, followed by an 8-0 victory against Brunei in their second match. Continuing their strong form, the team achieved another significant 5-0 win over Sri Lanka in their third match and overcame Bahrain with a 2-1 victory in the second match.
The seven group champions will earn spots in the 16-team finals, joining hosts Saudi Arabia and eight other nations that have already qualified for the 2025 FIFA U-17 World Cup.
