Dhaka: FIDE Master Tahsin Tajwar Zia achieved victory against FM Vivan Mulay of USA in the fifth round of the US Masters Chess Championship held at Hilton Charlotte University Place in North Carolina, USA today. International Master Fahad Rahman also secured a win against Tineo Rodriguez Brain Jeremiah Tineo of the Dominican Republic in the fifth round match.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, after the completion of the fifth round matches, Zia accumulated a total of 3.5 points, while International Master Mohammad Fahad Rahman earned three points.
