Nagarpur Upazila Public Library Reopens After Renovation

Nagarpur: The Nagarpur Upazila Public Library has reopened its doors following an extensive redesign and renovation aimed at creating a more reader-friendly environment. The inauguration, which took place on Thursday afternoon, was led by Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Arafat Mohammad Noman, who marked the occasion with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the refurbishment of the library focused on modernizing the interior decoration and enhancing the overall aesthetic appeal to better serve the community. UNO Noman emphasized the importance of the library in fostering knowledge, learning, and mental development, particularly among the younger generation. He expressed hope that the new look would attract more students and open new pathways for knowledge building in Nagarpur.

The event was attended by a host of local dignitaries, including Assistant Commissioner (Land) Deep Bhowmik, Secondary Education Officer Nadir Ahmed, Primary Education Officer Ashok Kumar, Upazila Project Implementation Officer Engineer Md Shafiur Rahman Joarder, LGED Upazila Engineer Torap Ali, Administrator of Sadar Union Parishad Md Habibur Rahman, Upazila Fisheries Officer Masum Billah, Upazila BNP organizing secretary Rafiz Uddin, and president of Nagarpur Bazar Traders Association Md Akhtaruzzaman Bokul. Teachers and students from various educational institutions also graced the occasion, highlighting the community's collective enthusiasm for the revamped facility.
