Dhaka: Professor Dr Adil Mohammed Khan of the Urban and Regional Planning Department at Jahangirnagar University has been appointed as a member of the Board of Trustees of the Commonwealth Association of Planners (CAP) for the 2026-27 term.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, JU Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Mohammad Kamrul Ahsan congratulated Professor Adil on the appointment, describing it as a significant achievement for both the university and urban and regional planning education and research in Bangladesh. The Vice-Chancellor highlighted that the new role will aid in advancing the country's urban, regional, and rural planning practices, as well as strengthening international collaboration and promoting academic excellence.
He also expressed his wishes for Professor Adil's continued success and wellbeing.
