Dhaka: Senior Secretary of the Ministry of Land ASM Saleh Ahmed today emphasized the vital role of training in skill development, underscoring its significance in enhancing work quality. He highlighted training as crucial for achieving efficiency, particularly in the face of rapidly changing work dynamics due to technological advancements and emergent innovations, during the inauguration of a training program for administrative officials and employees at his office's conference room.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Saleh Ahmed pointed out that the fundamental duty of officers and employees is to adhere to the Secretariat Instructions 2024. He stressed that rules and regulations are not merely for documentation purposes. Instead, he asserted that good governance, transparency, and efficiency can only be ensured when these rules are accurately reflected in relevant activities. The senior secretary urged all involved to approach their work with ethics and patriotism.
Saleh Ahmed also remarked on the unity required in the workplace, not only to voice collective demands but also to improve services. He noted that positive changes occur across all levels, from administration to service providers, when individuals view their responsibilities not just as jobs but as sacred commitments to the state. The senior secretary added that professionalism transcends adherence to rules; it represents a mindset influencing employee behavior, attitude, decision-making, and performance.
The event was attended by Additional Secretary (Administration) Md Raihan Kawsar, Deputy Secretary (Training and Discipline) Nasrin Sultana, and Deputy Secretary (Administration) Masud Kamal.
