Government Promotes Seven Non-Cadre Officers to Deputy Secretary

Dhaka: The government has promoted seven non-cadre senior assistant secretaries to the rank of deputy secretary, appointing all as officers on special duty at the public administration ministry. This decision was announced in a notification from the ministry, which detailed the new positions and responsibilities of the promoted officers.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the newly promoted officers are required to submit their joining letters directly or online to the senior secretary of the public administration ministry. The officers who have been promoted include M Abdul Khaleque from the health education and family welfare division, Md Nazrul Islam from the IMED division of the planning ministry, and Shirin Sultana from the social welfare ministry.

Additionally, the list of promoted officers comprises SM Moniruzzaman, who served as assistant administrator in the office of the administrator of Waqf Bangladesh, Md Forhad Mia from the railways ministry, SM Mahbubul Haque from the expatriates welfare and overseas employment ministry, and M Golam Mostafa from the youth and sports ministry. Each officer will now take on their new roles as deputy secretaries within the public administration ministry.
