JnU Halts Classes and Exams Amid Earthquake Concerns

Dhaka: The Jagannath University (JnU) authorities have announced the suspension of all classes and examinations scheduled for tomorrow, citing increased anxiety among students due to recent earthquakes in the country. The announcement was made through an urgent notice published on the university’s official Facebook page at 9 pm today.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the notice stated, “It is hereby informed that due to recent earthquake-related concerns and panic, all classes and examinations of Jagannath University have been postponed tomorrow, November 23. However, official activities of the university will continue as usual.”



The notice further detailed that while student transport services will be halted, bus services for teachers and officials will continue to operate normally. Additionally, activities related to the JnUCSU elections will proceed as planned. Revised schedules for the postponed examinations will be communicated by the respective departments in due course. The notification also urged everyone to take necessary precautions in light of the circumstances.
