Two-Day International Conference on Signal Processing Kicks Off at Rajshahi University

Rajshahi: A two-day IEEE International Conference on Signal Processing, Information, Communication, and Systems (SPICSCON 2025) commenced today at Rajshahi University (RU).



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the event is jointly hosted by the Bangladesh Section of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and the Bangladesh Chapter of Student Placement Service (SPS). The conference aims to offer a platform for researchers and scholars in the fields of signal processing, information, communication, and systems to share their work and foster collaboration.



The event also seeks to promote the development of new technologies and address challenges within these fields, with accepted papers being submitted for inclusion in IEEE Xplore. The main objectives include exchanging research findings on theoretical and practical problems, hosting keynote talks by leading experts, showcasing projects, and conducting tutorials.



The inaugural ceremony was addressed by RU Vice-chancellor Prof Saleh Hassan Naquib as the chief guest, with Prof Halida Humaira, Chairman of the Department of Information and Communication Engineering, presiding over the event at the lecture gallery of the Engineering faculty. Pro-vice-chancellors Prof Mayeen Uddin and Prof Farid Uddin Khan also spoke at the ceremony.



Prof Saleh Hassan Naquib emphasized that the event will serve as a platform for researchers, engineers, and students to present and discuss their latest innovations, trends, and challenges. He highlighted the conference’s role in fostering collaboration among academics and researchers in the fields of signal processing, information technology, communications, and systems.



He encouraged the participating researchers and scientists to disseminate new research findings and knowledge, with papers accepted for inclusion in the IEEE Xplore digital library. The conference will feature high-quality technical sessions for presenting new research and technical work, alongside keynote and invited talks from renowned researchers to provide insights into the latest developments.
