Dhaka: A total of 436 new dengue patients were hospitalized across the country in the past 24 hours, according to a press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) today.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, among the newly hospitalized patients, 63 were admitted to hospitals in Barishal division (outside City Corporation), 98 in Chattogram division (outside City Corporation), 93 in Dhaka division (outside City Corporation), 54 under Dhaka North City Corporation, 75 under Dhaka South City Corporation, 22 in Khulna division (outside City Corporation), and 31 in Mymensingh division (outside City Corporation).
This year, a total of 85,703 patients have been released from hospitals after recovery. As of November 20, there have been 88,893 dengue infections recorded in 2025, with males making up 64.9 percent and females 35.1 percent of the cases.
No dengue-related deaths were reported in the last 24 hours, though the disease has claimed 353 lives this year. In comparison, the country recorded 101,214 dengue cases and 575 deaths in 2024, according to the DGHS.
