Dhaka: Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD)'s Dhaka University unit is set to organize Nabanna Utsab 1432, a traditional Bengali harvest celebration, on the premises of the Teacher-Student Centre (TSC) at 3 pm tomorrow.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Dhaka University students will engage in various cultural performances, including dance, songs, and poetry recitations, as part of this traditional festivity. The event will highlight the cultural heritage of Bangladesh, rooted deeply in the lives of rural farmers, laborers, and working people.
A special attraction of the celebration will be the performances by renowned Baul artist Chishti Baul, along with singers Akash Goyen, Farzana Afrin Eva, Abu Rashed, Palash, and Robi. In addition to musical performances, the event will feature rural traditional lathikhela (stick play) and numerous other cultural presentations.
The festival, set in the heart of the country's highest seat of education, aims to showcase the traditional arts and culture of Bangladesh, emphasizing the historical, cultural, and ethnic foundations of the nation.
