Dhaka: The vice-president of the banned Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL), Manikganj district unit, has been sent to jail after being produced before a court today. Monayem Mostakin Khan Onik, who also serves as the chairman of Aroya Union under Shibalaya Upazila, faced legal proceedings following his recent arrest.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Onik was apprehended on Monday night in the Adabor area of Dhaka. His arrest marks a significant development, given his prominent roles both within the BCL and as a local government leader.
