Caracas: Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro expressed his willingness to engage in direct discussions with US President Donald Trump amid escalating military tensions in the Caribbean. Maduro made this statement on Monday, indicating his openness to a “face to face” dialogue with Trump.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Maduro conveyed his message during his weekly television program. He emphasized that Venezuela remains peaceful and expressed his readiness to engage with any US representative who wishes to discuss matters with Venezuela directly. Maduro’s comments come in response to President Trump’s earlier mention of potential talks between the two nations, despite the US having previously dismissed Maduro’s reelection as fraudulent.
