Forensic Tests to Identify July Uprising Martyrs at Rayerbazar to Start on December 7

Dhaka: Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives Adviser Asif Mahmud Sajib Bhuiyan announced today that international forensic experts are scheduled to arrive in Dhaka on December 5, with the forensic tests on the July Uprising martyrs buried in the Rayerbazar mass graves set to begin on December 7.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the announcement came after Adviser Bhuiyan visited the mass graves at the Rayerbazar Martyred Intellectuals Memorial. He informed journalists that temporary morgues and camps will be established in Rayerbazar to facilitate the forensic activities, which will be conducted by both national and international forensic experts.

The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) has been designated as the implementing agency for this critical operation. Adviser Bhuiyan also took the opportunity to inspect the ongoing grave-building activities for the July martyrs, ensuring they adhere to the planned design.
