Dhaka: In a significant economic development, the inflow of remittances to Bangladesh has demonstrated a remarkable year-on-year growth of 23.1 percent, reaching a total of US$1,523 million in just the first 15 days of November. This information comes from the latest data released by Bangladesh Bank (BB) today.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, during the same period last year, the country recorded a remittance inflow of $1,237 million. This substantial increase highlights the positive trend in remittance flows, which play a crucial role in the country's economy.
Furthermore, from July to November 15, 2025, expatriates sent a total of $11,672 million in remittances. This figure marks a significant rise compared to the $10,175 million received during the same period in the previous fiscal year. The consistent growth in remittance inflow underscores the increasing economic contributions of Bangladeshi expatriates.
