Jhenaidah: A two-year-old boy, Abram, tragically drowned in the Kumar river at Jhaudia village of Shailkupa municipality this morning. The incident took place while the boy was picking flowers on the riverbank around 11 am.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the boy, identified as Abram, was the son of Azad Mridha from the same village. After not seeing Abram for a prolonged period, his family members began searching for him. Unfortunately, their search ended when they recovered his body from the river.
The Officer-in-Charge of Shailkupa Police Station, Masum Khan, confirmed the incident, marking a somber day for the local community.
