Dhaka: Bangladesh's foreign exchange reserves have reached US$ 31.10 billion. According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the latest data from the Bangladesh Bank (BB) indicates that when calculated using the International Monetary Fund (IMF) methodology under the Balance of Payments and International Investment Position Manual (BPM6), the reserves are reported to be $26.40 billion. The disparity in the figures highlights the difference in calculation methods used by Bangladesh and the IMF. The Bangladesh Bank's methodology reports the reserves at a higher figure compared to the IMF's standard.
