Netrakona: A teenage boy was electrocuted at Nayapara village under Purbadhala upazila of the district this morning. The deceased was identified as Tamim Mia, 15, son of Md. Saidul Islam of the village.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Tamim accidentally touched an open electric wire while washing his hands next to the water motor after finishing his housework around 9:30 am. As a result, he was electrocuted and seriously injured.
His family members quickly rescued him and transported him to Purbadhala Upazila Health Complex, where the doctor on duty declared him dead.
Officer-in-Charge of Purbadhala Police Station, Mohammad Nurul Alam, confirmed the matter.
