DMP Files 1,037 Cases for Violating Traffic Rules

Dhaka: Dhaka Metropolitan Police’s (DMP) Traffic Division has filed a total of 1,037 cases across the capital for violating traffic rules.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the DMP Traffic Division conducted the enforcement actions on November 8 as part of a regular drive targeting traffic rule violators, as stated in a press release issued today.



The press release noted that during the campaign, the DMP traffic police dumped 277 motor vehicles and towed 96 vehicles. It emphasized that these enforcement drives will continue to ensure discipline on Dhaka’s streets.



The release detailed that Motijheel traffic division filed 224 cases, Wari division registered 88 cases, Tejgaon division filed 146 cases, Mirpur division filed 115 cases, Gulshan division filed 91 cases, Uttara division registered 165 cases, Ramna division filed 87 cases, and Lalbagh division registered 121 cases. The cases were filed against motor vehicles, three-wheelers, and motorcycles.
