8 Arrests Over Hatching Conspiracy in Jamalpur

Jamalpur: Police in a day-long drive arrested eight persons for hatching conspiracies in the district yesterday. Police said the arrested persons are leaders and workers of the Awami League and its front organisations. They were involved in various hatching conspiracies with plotting after ousting the AL government to destabilize the present government.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the arrested individuals include Abdul Malek, 40, Shaminul Islam Milon, 37, and Mahmudul Hassan, 29, from Jamalpur Sadar Upazila; Md Al-Amin Islam Hassan, 19, and Md Humayun Kabir Mamun, 42, from Melandah Upazila; Md Motiur Rahman, 50, from Madarganj Upazila; and Saudagar Ali, 50, and Md Rezaul Karim, 55, from Bakshiganj Upazila.



Police stated that the arrested persons were accused in various criminal cases across Jamalpur Sadar, Melandah, Bakshiganj, and Madarganj Police Stations. The authorities have assured that operations will continue to prevent such incidents in the future.
