Tokyo: The Embassy of Bangladesh in Tokyo today organized a community interaction meeting aimed at educating Bangladeshi expatriates about their responsibilities and the importance of adhering to Japanese laws and social norms. The event took place at the Embassy auditorium and witnessed participation from notable figures including Masakatsu Murotani, Director of the Southwest Asia Division at Japan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and representatives from NHK WORLD-JAPAN. A substantial number of Bangladeshi expatriates from across Japan attended the event, as per a message received today.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Director Murotani, in his address during the first session, encouraged the Bangladeshi community to become more conscious of and respectful towards Japan's culture, traditions, and legal framework. He highlighted Japan's current labor and immigration policies, emphasizing the necessity of compliance to enhance the amicable relations between Bangladesh and Japan.
The second session featured a presentation by NHK WORLD-JAPAN, showcasing its migrant-friendly initiatives. This included the introduction of Bangla-language digital platforms and user-friendly applications designed to aid in Japanese language acquisition and promote social integration. Participants were also given the opportunity to share their personal experiences and perspectives on various aspects of living in Japan.
Bangladesh Ambassador to Japan, Md. Daud Ali, in his remarks, stressed the significance of responsible behavior by Bangladeshi nationals in Japan, considering the country's dynamic social and political environment. He called upon the community to uphold Bangladesh's reputation by exhibiting integrity, discipline, and respect for Japanese customs and laws.
The Ambassador reaffirmed the deep-rooted and historical ties between Bangladesh and Japan, expressing confidence that mutual understanding and cooperation between the two nations would continue to thrive through such initiatives.
