Chattogram: BNP candidate Ershad Ullah from the Chattogram-8 constituency, who sustained injuries from a shooting, has been relocated to Square Hospital in Dhaka via helicopter for advanced medical care.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Ershad Ullah was initially receiving treatment at Chattogram Evercare Hospital before being airlifted to Dhaka’s Square Hospital at approximately 1:30 pm. City BNP Member Secretary Nazimur Rahman stated that despite the transfer to Dhaka for improved treatment, Ershad Ullah is no longer in immediate danger. The decision to transfer him was made by his family due to gunshot wounds on the right side of his chest and leg.

The shooting incident occurred during a public meeting in the Bayezid area of Chattogram last Wednesday. Initially, Ershad Ullah was admitted to a private hospital in Chattogram following the attack. The incident also tragically claimed the life of a man named Sarwar Hossain Babla.
