Lakshmipur: BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia’s Advisory Council member Abul Khair Bhuiyan today stated that both fallen and ‘new’ fascists are actively campaigning to disrupt the forthcoming elections. He highlighted the coordinated efforts to create chaos in the country with the aim of sabotaging the electoral process.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Abul Khair Bhuiyan, a former lawmaker from the Lashmipur-2 constituency, made these remarks while serving as the chief guest at an event celebrating the anniversary of the Lakshmipur Reporters Club held at a local restaurant. Bhuiyan emphasized the sacrifices made by the party over the past 17 years, noting the loss of life and the disappearance of numerous leaders and activists in their fight for electoral integrity.
Addressing the challenges faced by the family of Shaheed President Zia, Bhuiyan pointed out that BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia was incarcerated on what he described as false charges. He further claimed that the Zia family endured significant suffering during the fascist regime in Bangladesh.
The event also featured speeches from Lakshmipur Press Club President Hossain Ahmed Helal, District Jamaat Secretary AR Hafiz Ullah, Poura Jamaat Ameer Advocate Abul Farah Nishan, Poura BNP President Rezaul Karim Liton, and District Jubo Dal President Abdul Alim Humayun.
