Dhaka: A construction worker was killed after falling from the third floor of an under-construction building in the Borotech area of the city's Badda area this afternoon. The deceased, identified as Al Amin, 26, was a mason.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the victim's elder brother, Nazrul Islam, stated that their family hails from Hizla upazila of Barishal district. The incident was confirmed by Inspector Mohammad Faruk, who is in charge of the Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) police camp.
Al Amin was rescued in critical condition by his co-workers and taken to the DMCH Emergency Department. Unfortunately, doctors declared him dead at around 6:30 pm. Inspector Faruk reported that the body has been sent to the DMCH morgue for autopsy, and the matter has been reported to the relevant police station.
