Dhaka: Md. Abdur Rahim Khan, Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Commerce, has assumed charge as the Administrator of the Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI), the apex trade body of the country. Rahim formally took over his responsibilities as the new Administrator of the FBCCI this morning, said an FBCCI press release.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, an office order issued by the Ministry of Commerce confirmed that Md. Abdur Rahim Khan was appointed as the Administrator of FBCCI under Section 17 of the Trade Organizations Act, 2022. The order mandates Rahim to conduct a fair and impartial election within 120 days and subsequently transfer the responsibilities to the newly elected board.
