30 Employees Complete ICT Training at Bangladesh Agricultural University

Mymensingh: A two-week-long training workshop titled 'Basics of Microsoft Office' has concluded at Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU), aimed at enhancing the professional skills of third-class employees. The closing and certificate distribution ceremony of the workshop was held on Sunday at 12.30 pm in a classroom of the university's Graduate Training Institute (GTI). The workshop was organized under the supervision of GTI.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the training programme began on October 19, with 30 nominated employees from various sections of the university participating. The closing ceremony was presided over by Professor Dr. Md. Mozammel Haque, Director of GTI, while BAU Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. A. K. Fazlul Haque Bhuiyan attended as the chief guest. Acting Registrar Agriculturist Dr. Md. Helal Uddin was present as the special guest.

The event also saw the attendance of University Proctor Professor Dr. Abdul Alim, Controller of Examinations Professor Dr. Jowarder Faruk Ahmed, and other university officials. Trainees expressed that they had learned to operate computers confidently and wished the course had been offered earlier, as many were nearing retirement.

In his speech, Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. A. K. Fazlul Haque Bhuiyan emphasized the importance of training for enhancing task efficiency. He encouraged the participants to prepare themselves through such training to become valuable assets to the university and to perform their duties with honesty and dedication.
