Dhaka: Director General (DG) of Fire Service and Civil Defense (FSCD) Brigadier General Muhammad Jahed Kamal has emphasized the importance of maintaining the public awareness campaign designed to mitigate fire incidents during the dry season. “Continue the public awareness campaign to lessen the incidents of fire during the dry season,” he stated while speaking at a durbar programme held at the FSCD Headquarters in the capital this morning.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Kamal urged FSCD officers and employees to prioritize the organization’s interests. He highlighted the humanitarian efforts of FSCD personnel, mentioning that ten members who contributed during the Myanmar earthquake were honored with the Swarak Medal by the Myanmar government.

In addition, the DG presented the “Director General’s Appreciation” awards-marking the first instance of such recognition-to officers who excelled in operations, competitions, and administrative performance, which included certificates and cash rewards.
