Free Medical Camp Provides Healthcare Services to 2,000 Residents in Manikganj

Manikganj: A day-long free medical camp was organized by Monno Medical College and Hospital at Bandutia Aftab Uddin Memorial High School under Manikganj municipality. The event, held yesterday, aimed to provide healthcare services to the local community.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the camp was inaugurated by Afroza Khanam Rita, Chairman of Monno Group of Industries. Approximately 2,000 men, women, and children availed themselves of free healthcare services across ten specialized sections, which included medicine, surgery, cardiology, gynecology and obstetrics, dentistry, ENT, ophthalmology, pediatrics, and neonatal care.



A team of 20 specialist physicians and over 40 nurses were on hand to deliver medical services throughout the day. The event was attended by notable figures such as Professor Dr Abdul Karim, Principal of Monno Medical College and Hospital, Director Brigadier General (Retd) Dr Zulfikar Ahmed Amin, Vice Principal Professor Dr Borhan Uddin Ahmed, Orthopedic Specialist Dr Moniruzzaman Manik, Dental Specialist Dr Kudrat-e-Hasan, and Surgery Specialist Assistant Professor Dr Jesmin Arif.



During the event, Professor Abdul Karim emphasized the virtue of serving humanity and reiterated the institution’s commitment to supporting the underprivileged as part of its social responsibility initiatives. The organizers also announced that patients who received treatment at the camp would be entitled to special facilities at Monno Medical College and Hospital in the future.
