Kishoreganj: BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman today advised students to be proficient in knowledge, science, and technology. "The world has now entered the age of Artificial Intelligence (AI). The doors of the world are now open for the talents. The competition of knowledge, intelligence, merit, and competence is everywhere. Therefore, to survive in this competitive world, it is essential for students to be educated with the appropriate skills,' he said.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Tarique Rahman made the remarks while virtually participating as the chief guest at a function on the announcement of the results of a merit scholarship examination based on BNP's 31-point State Reform Framework. The Khandaker Shamsul Alam Foundation organized the event at the Government High School field of the district.
The BNP Acting Chairman emphasized the necessity of modern and practical education, stating, "Whether you study in a Madrasa or a school, you must remember that you need to be proficient in modern and practical education to survive with dignity. You must be excelled in knowledge and science, and also be skilled in technical education." He highlighted BNP's efforts to reorganize the future education system in line with modern science and innovative technology.
Tarique Rahman stressed the importance of skill development, dedication, and strong willpower in the current global competition. He reminded students that the development of talent requires regular practice, proper nurturing, and strong determination. "While talent is innate, continuous effort is necessary for its development,' he noted.
The event saw the presence of teachers, students from various educational institutions in the district, and local dignitaries. District BNP President Md. Shariful Alam presided over the event, while BNP Chairperson's Adviser Abdus Salam, Acting Chairman's Adviser on Education Affairs Mahadi Amin, BNP Media Cell Member Shayrul Kabir Khan, and District BNP General Secretary Mazharul Islam, among others, were present. The Chairman of the Khandaker Shamsul Alam Foundation, Khandaker Al Ashraf Mamun, moderated the event.
According to the Khandaker Shamsul Alam Foundation, 10,211 students from 84 secondary, higher secondary schools, and madrasas in the Pakundia upazila participated in this merit scholarship examination. In four groups, a total of 40 students were awarded scholarships, 10 from each group. Additionally, consolation prizes were given to all participants.
