Tarique Rahman Expected to Return to Bangladesh by Mid-November, Says Annie

Lakshmipur: BNP Joint Secretary General Shahid Uddin Chowdhury Annie expressed optimism today that the party's Acting Chairman, Tarique Rahman, will return to Bangladesh soon, potentially by the end of October or mid-November. He shared this expectation during a meeting held in the city, indicating Rahman's participation in the forthcoming national elections.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Annie participated in several courtyard meetings of the Mohila Dal in Hajirpara and Chandraganj unions within the district. During these gatherings, he urged party activists to maintain unity and work with faith and integrity, emphasizing the BNP's identity as a people-oriented party established by the late President Ziaur Rahman.

Annie also highlighted the significant contributions of Ziaur Rahman and Khaleda Zia to the nation's politics and development. The meetings were attended by several district leaders, including District BNP leader Advocate Hafizur Rahman, Chandraganj thana BNP General Secretary M. Yusuf Bhuiyan, district unit of Sramik Dal leader Abul Hashem, as well as district Mohila Dal President Sabera Anwar and General Secretary Fatema Akhter Sumi, among others.
