Dhaka: Rashedur Rahman of Bangladesh Pratidin emerged champion in the chess event of Vista-Dhaka Reporters Unity (DRU) Sports Festival held at the chess federation hall room today. Tapan Biswas of the Daily Janakantha secured the second position, while Sayeed Shipon of Jagonews24.com finished third in the competition.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the event was organized by DRU with the overall cooperation of Vista. The DRU Sports Secretary Mojibur Rahman conducted the chess competition. DRU vice president Gazi Anwar and its general secretary Mainul Hasan Sohel were also in attendance at the event.
