Dhaka: The Advisory Committee has given its approval in principle to the amendments of the Detailed Area Plan (DAP) and the draft of the Dhaka Metropolitan Building Rules-2025. The decision emerged from a meeting held at the Ministry of Housing and Public Works in the capital, as stated in a press release.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the meeting was chaired by Ali Imam Majumdar, Adviser to the Ministry of Land. The Advisory Committee, responsible for monitoring the implementation of the DAP prepared by RAJUK and making recommendations for amendments, participated in the discussions. The meeting concluded with the decision to soon publish the DAP (2022-2035) in gazette form based on the approval granted.
Present at the meeting were notable figures including Muhammad Fouzul Kabir Khan, Adviser to the Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Ministry; Syeda Rizwana Hasan, Adviser to the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change; and Adilur Rahman Khan, Adviser to the Ministry of Housing and Public Works.
