AI Transforming Human Life and Technology: KU VC

Khulna: Khulna University (KU) Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr. Md. Rezaul Karim emphasized the transformative impact of artificial intelligence (AI) on human life and technological systems globally. He articulated these insights while serving as the chief guest at a seminar titled “Innovation with AI,” which took place at the Smart Classroom of the Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) Discipline in Academic Building No. 1 of KU.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the seminar was organized by KU’s Innovation Club as part of their Inventum 4.0 program. During his address, Prof Dr. Rezaul Karim remarked, “AI represents a form of intelligence that allows machines to simulate human thinking and decision-making, delivering faster and more accurate results.” He further asserted that AI will be a significant driver of development, innovation, and creativity in the future.



The Vice-Chancellor also outlined Khulna University’s strategic focus on equipping students with skills that align with contemporary technological advancements. He announced plans to introduce AI-focused courses and training across all academic disciplines, aiming to foster a culture of AI-based education and research within the university.



The seminar also featured Prof Dr. S. M. Mahbubur Rahman, Acting Registrar of KU, as the special guest, and Prof Dr. G. M. Atikur Rahman of the CSE Discipline delivered the keynote speech. Contributions were also made by Associate Prof Md. Enamul Haque from the Business Administration Discipline.



Chironjeet Pal, President of the Innovation Club, presided over the event, while Asha Akter, Vice-President of the club, delivered the welcome address. Shyamali Nandi of Agrotechnology and Arnav Kundu of Statistics conducted the session together. The program concluded with the Vice-Chancellor awarding certificates and medals to the winners of the Idea Hunting and Article Writing competitions, which were part of the Inventum 4.0 initiative.
