EC to Convene Meeting with Law Enforcers on Election Security

Dhaka: The Election Commission (EC) is set to hold a meeting with law enforcement agencies tomorrow. The meeting will address the law and order situation in polling stations and constituencies, along with other pertinent issues, to ensure the upcoming elections are conducted in a free, fair, and participatory manner.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Senior Secretary of the EC Secretariat, Akhtar Ahmed, informed reporters about the scheduled meeting. It is set to commence at 10:30 am at the EC Secretariat located in Agargaon.



Akhtar Ahmed stated that all organizations responsible for maintaining law and order, including the army, air force, and navy, have been invited to the EC Secretariat. The discussions will focus on the security arrangements for the forthcoming elections.



The Chief Election Commissioner will preside over the meeting, and it will be attended by other election commissioners.
