BGB Seizes Smuggled Goods Worth Taka 10.15 Lakh in Satkhira

Satkhira: Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) conducted a drive and seized various smuggled goods from different border areas of the district today.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the seized items include 135 bottles of Indian narcotic syrup, 6 bottles of liquor, various types of medicines, and sarees. These goods were recovered from border areas under Padmashakhra, Jhaudanga Ghona, Madra, Hiljadi, and Bankal check post BOP in Sadar and Kalaroa Police Stations on Saturday.



The total market value of the seized goods amounts to Taka 10.15 lakh. Satkhira BGB-33 Battalion Commander Lt. Col. Md. Ashraful Haque confirmed the seizure and stated that the Indian goods have been handed over to Satkhira Customs. Additionally, the narcotics have been stored for public destruction after a general diary was filed with the Satkhira Narcotics Control Department.
