Dhaka: Four male players have been chosen from a selection program to represent Bangladesh in the upcoming 7th Carrom World Cup, as announced in a press release today. The selected players are Anis Ahmed, Hafizur Rahman, Bashu Das, and Hemayet Mollah.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the selection program for male players follows the earlier selection of four female players on October 5. The women selected are Afsana Nasrin, Farzana Banu Shilpy, Shamsun Nahar Maksuda, and Achiya Khatun.
The Bangladesh Carrom Federation is set to conduct a month-long training camp for the final selected players starting November 6. This will take place at the federation’s training room, in preparation for the World Cup.
The 7th Carrom World Cup is scheduled to be held in the Maldives from December 2 to December 6.
