Patuakhali: A worker tragically died after falling from a tree at Rangabali upazila here today. The incident took place at Kaukhali village of Chhotabaishdia union under Rangabali upazila this morning.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the deceased was identified as Julhas Faraji, son of Nur Mohammad Faraji, from Haridrakhali village of Chhotabaishdia union at Rangabali upazila. Police reported that Julhas had gone to Kaukhali village with other workers to cut trees on a contract basis.
Julhas was attempting to climb a tree by tying a rope when he suddenly slipped and fell. He sustained serious injuries to his head and other parts of his body. His colleagues immediately rescued him and took him to Galachipa Upazila Health Complex, where the on-duty doctors declared him dead.
The Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Rangabali Police Station stated that the body of the deceased was handed over to his family following the completion of legal procedures.
