Gazette on Mosque Management Policy Set for Release This Month: Khalid

Dhaka: Religious Affairs Adviser Dr A F M Khalid Hossain announced plans to modernize mosque management policies, aiming for a more effective and disciplined administration. He stated that the revised policies would be published in a gazette this month.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Dr Khalid made these remarks as the chief guest at a workshop titled ‘Mosque Management Policy 2025,’ organized by the Islamic Foundation at Baitul Mukarram National Mosque. He emphasized that the mosque management policy will be finalized with input from all stakeholders, especially top Islamic scholars. The policy aims to balance the interests of imams and muezzins.



Islamic Foundation Secretary Shaikh Murshidul Islam presented a draft of the revised Mosque Management Policy 2025 during the workshop. The event was presided over by Director General of the Islamic Foundation Abdus Salam Khan, with Religious Affairs Secretary Md. Kamal Uddin also addressing the attendees as a special guest.



The workshop featured contributions from Khatib of Baitul Mukarram National Mosque Allama Mufti Muhammad Abdul Malek, Principal of Ta’mirul Millat Kamil Madrasah Maulana Khalilur Rahman Madani, and Chairman of Shane Sahaba National Khatib Foundation Mufti Shamim Majumder. Leaders from the Bangladesh National Imam Association also shared their views, offering constructive suggestions to ensure the policy is timely and effective.



More than fifty prominent Islamic scholars from across the country participated in the workshop, contributing their insights and expertise to the policy’s development.
