Dhaka: The government today rescinded the transfer order of two supernumerary police superintendents to the Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) as directors. The Public Administration ministry has cancelled the transfer orders of Md Abu Yusuf and Md Zahidur Rahman, both of whom are currently posted at the police headquarters. This decision was made just a day after their transfers were initially ordered.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the sudden reversal of the transfer orders has raised questions about the initial decision to move the officers to the ACC. The ministry’s action to revoke the transfers suggests a change in strategy or a reassessment of the officers’ roles within the police headquarters.
The transfer order had originally aimed to assign the officers new roles as directors at the ACC. However, the cancellation indicates that Md Abu Yusuf and Md Zahidur Rahman will continue in their current positions for the foreseeable future. The reasons behind both the initial transfer decision and its subsequent revocation have not been disclosed.
