Pirojpur: Over 200 impoverished eye patients received treatment at a daylong free eye camp in Pirojpur district town. The initiative aimed at providing free eye care, including cataract surgery, was organized at Bhai Bhai Manzil, near the town's CO office, under the leadership of BNP National Executive Committee member Principal Alamgir Hossain. This event was supervised by the Alhaj Abdus Sobhan Welfare Foundation.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the free eye camp was inaugurated on Monday morning, in partnership with the local Rural GC Eye Hospital. The event saw participation from Pirojpur Civil Surgeon Dr. Md. Matiur Rahman, who was present as the chief guest, while Principal Alamgir Hossain, Chairman of Alhaj Abdus Sobhan Welfare Foundation, presided over the function.
Deputy Director of the District Family Planning Department, Tuhin Kanti Ghosh, attended the event as a special guest. During his address, Civil Surgeon Dr. Matiur Rahman emphasized the importance of such humanitarian activities, noting that they provide essential medical services to those in need.
