Jashore: The Narcotics Control Department in a drive have arrested a man with 10,000 pieces of yaba tablets from Manoharpur area in Sadar upazila of the district last night. The arrested man was Mohibur Rahman Rimon, 31, son of Shah Alam of Machijidda village under Sitakundu upazila in Chattogram district.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, a team of Jashore Narcotics Control Department conducted a raid in the area around 9.30 pm. They arrested Mohibur from a bus of 'Sohagh Paribahan on the Jashore-Magura road and recovered the yaba tablets after searching his body, stated Deputy Director of the Narcotics Control Department Jashore office, Md. Aslam Hossain.
A case was filed in this connection with Jashore Kotwali Police Station under the Narcotics Control Act. The recovered yaba and the arrested individual were handed over to Jashore Kotwali Police Station.
