Chattogram: The Rapid Action Battalion has successfully apprehended a fugitive accused in the Maulvir Pukurpar area under Chandgaon Police Station. The individual, identified as Md Faruk, 24, is a resident of Riaz Uddin Ukil House in the same police jurisdiction.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the arrest followed a tip-off leading a RAB team to conduct a raid in the area on Saturday afternoon. RAB-7 Assistant Director (Media) ARM Mozaffar Hossain confirmed the arrest of Faruk this afternoon, stating that the accused has been handed over to the respective police station for further processing.
Faruk is implicated in a case concerning the murder of Zubair Uddin Babu. The incident occurred during a clash in the Sports Zone area under Chandgaon Police Station on September 20, 2024. The arrest marks a significant development in the ongoing investigation into the murder case.
