Justice Hassan Advocates for Establishment of Joint District Judge Court in Kalapara

Kalapara: Justice J B M Hassan has called for the establishment of a Joint District Judge Court in Kalapara, replacing the existing 'Chowki Adalat'. Justice Hassan highlighted the significance of the Chowki Adalat in Kalapara, noting the backlog of 5,600 civil cases and 2,100 criminal cases currently pending.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Justice Hassan made these remarks during a meeting with lawyers at the Chowki Adalat Bar Bhaban. The event was chaired by District and Sessions Judge of Patuakhali Md Shahidullah and included speeches from several notable figures, including Advocate Khandkar Nasir Uddin, President of the Kalapara Chowki Adalat Bar Association. The gathering was attended by judges, judicial officers, and lawyers from the district.

Justice Hassan stressed the unique nature of the Kalapara Chowki Adalat compared to other similar courts in the country. He emphasized the importance of collaboration between lawyers and courts to ensure justice for litigants. Earlier in the day, Justice Hassan inspected the Kalapara Chowki Adalat and was welcomed with a floral reception by senior lawyers.
