Case Filed Over Murder of Businessman in Madunaghat

Madunaghat: A case has been filed with Hathazari Police Station over the killing of a businessman, who was shot dead while travelling in a car at Madunaghat. The victim's wife, Tasfia Alam, filed the case against unidentified assailants last night.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Additional Superintendent of Police (Hathazari Circle), Tarek Aziz, stated that four individuals have already been arrested in connection with the murder of Mohammad Abdul Hakim. Hakim, 52, was a resident of Pachkhain village under Bagowan Union of South Raujan in the district. He was a well-known businessman and the owner of 'Hamim Robber arrested with firearm in Ashuliacattle farm.

The businessman was shot dead by some unidentified miscreants near the Madunaghat Bridge area in Hathazari upazila of the district in the afternoon on October 7. Additionally, Abdul Hakim's driver, Muhammad Ismail, 38, sustained injuries during the shooting incident.
