Khulna: Disaster Management and Relief, and Liberation War Affairs Adviser Faruk-E-Azam, Bir Protik, has reaffirmed the government's commitment to supporting individuals dedicated to the welfare of the populace. Speaking at a view exchange meeting held at the Khulna District Shilpakala Academy auditorium, Azam emphasized that the country belongs to all its citizens, urging those in positions of responsibility to leverage their authority for the public good.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the meeting was chaired by Khulna Divisional Commissioner Md Firoz Sarkar and included participation from field-level officials involved in disaster management. Azam highlighted the significance of the Mass Uprising of 2024, describing it as an opportunity to enhance Bangladesh's resilience and capabilities in the face of disasters. He stressed the importance of strategic planning and policy implementation to address the challenges faced by the disaster-prone nation.

The event featured special guests such as Secretary of the Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief Md Mostafizur Rahman and Director General of the Department of Disaster Management Rezwanur Rahman. Khulna Deputy Commissioner Md Tawfiqur Rahman delivered the welcome speech, setting the tone for the collaborative discussions that followed.

Prominent figures including Jashore Deputy Commissioner Md Azaharul Islam, Satkhira Deputy Commissioner Mostaq Ahmed, and Kushtia Deputy Commissioner Abu Hasan Mohammad Arefin also addressed the attendees, underscoring the collective effort required to fortify disaster management strategies. The meeting gathered officials from all ten districts within the Khulna division, encompassing deputy commissioners, UNOs, district relief and rehabilitation officers, and upazila project implementation officers.
