Dhaka: Jahangirnagar University (JU) authorities have tentatively scheduled the undergraduate admission tests for the 2025-26 academic session to take place in the last week of December this year. This decision was reached during a meeting of the university's Central Admission Test Committee, chaired by Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Mohammad Kamrul Ahsan, as confirmed by Deputy Registrar (Academic) Syed Mohammad Ali Reza.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Reza remarked that the committee deliberated on the potential timeline for the forthcoming admission tests and arrived at a preliminary decision to conduct them in late December. Additionally, a coordination committee has been established to provide detailed guidelines on the admission process. This committee is led by JU Pro-Vice Chancellor (Academic) Professor Dr M Mahfuzur Rahman and is tasked with evaluating the feasibility of administering the exams in conjunction with other public universities.
The coordination committee includes Pro-Vice Chancellor (Administration) Prof Dr Sohel Ahmed, Treasurer Prof Dr M Abdur Rab, Controller of Examinations Prof Dr Saleh Ahammad Khan, all faculty deans, and all institute directors as its members.
