Sylhet: Two youths were killed in a road accident in the Khilpara area under Fenchuganj upazila of the district today.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the deceased were identified as Sufian Islam Nahid, 20, son of Masuk Mia of Char Mohammadpur area under Moglabazar Police Station in Sylhet and Ahmed Mohammad Sayem Ahmed, 14, son of Shawkat Ali of Mohammadpur area of Dakshin Surma Police Station. The tragic accident occurred around 04:30 pm when a microbus collided head-on with a motorcycle, critically injuring the two bike riders, said Moniruzzaman Khan, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Fenchuganj Police Station.
The injured were rushed to Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College Hospital, where the on-duty doctor declared them dead. The bodies will be handed over to the family after the autopsy, as confirmed by the police officer.
A case has been filed in connection with the incident.
