Khulna: World Teachers’ Day 2025 was observed in Khulna city and all upazilas of the district with the theme “Recasting Teaching as a Collaborative Profession.” The event was marked by a vibrant rally that started and ended at the Collectorate Building, making its way through various streets in the city.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the rally saw participation from teachers, students, journalists, distinguished guests from educational institutions, and representatives from social and cultural organizations. Following the rally, a discussion meeting was held at the Deputy Commissioner’s office. The meeting was chaired by Additional Commissioner (Education and ICT) Nurul Hai Mohammad Anas, with Deputy Commissioner Md Towfiqur Rahman attending as the chief guest. District Education Officer S M Sayedur Rahman delivered the welcome speech.
Teachers from a variety of educational settings, including schools, madrasas, colleges, and technical institutions, participated in the program. Speakers at the meeting highlighted the pivotal role teachers play as architects of nation-building. They noted that teachers enlighten society with knowledge, morality, and humanity, guiding future generations on the right path. The speakers also stressed the importance of ensuring quality education and the need for proper respect, fair opportunities, and modern training for teachers to meet contemporary demands.
