Light to Moderate Rain and Thundershowers Expected Across Bangladesh

Dhaka: The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has forecast that light to moderate rain or thundershowers, accompanied by temporary gusty winds, are likely to occur at various locations across the country over the next 24 hours, starting from 9:00 am today.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the BMD bulletin specified that most places in the Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh, and Khulna divisions are expected to experience these weather conditions. Additionally, many locations in the Barishal, Chattogram, and Sylhet divisions may also witness moderately heavy to heavy rainfall.

The met office has also predicted a slight rise in day temperatures while night temperatures are expected to remain nearly unchanged across the country. On Thursday, the highest temperature was recorded at 33.5 degrees Celsius at Ambagan station in the Chattogram division, whereas the lowest temperature noted today was 22.0 degrees Celsius at Bandarban station, also in the Chattogram division.

Furthermore, the maximum rainfall recorded in the last 24 hours until 6 am today was 69 millimeters (mm) at Feni in the Chattogram division. In Dhaka, residents can expect the sun to set at 5:44 pm today and rise at 5:51 am tomorrow.
